I have been drawing since I can remember. I’ve always been with a pencil in my hand. Now  I draw a lot less, my magic career keeping me very busy. However, I draw occasionally for friends, and a bit for my comic strip project. Here are some of my creations:

This one has been drawn to fill the space at the top of the pages of this site. Notice that it is my caricature (duh). Made in 2005.

This one too has been drawn for this website, the music page as you could notice. This is also my caricature (duh again). Made in 2005.

For information, I work with colored pencils, brand  Conté Evolution. These pencils are for kids. They are not made of carbon and wood, so they are more solid,  and you can bite them without hurting yourself. They have also a weird feel to them, you need to press harder to put the colour , which suits my non-refined style.

Also, you can mix the colours together to give this shading effect. Oooohhh, I gave my secrets away. Oh well.

Then the drawings are mine. The characters are not inspired whatsoever. They are MINE. I created them with my brain (?) and my little hands.

My influences drawing-wise are mainly Maëster, Tome, Gazzotti,  and probably some others on a subconscious level.

This one was a trial at drawing a female body. The body muscles are copied from one of  Julie Bell (to fly again). Too bad that she is a body builder and that the bodies she’s drawing are always very muscled and not that  feminine… All the muscles here are drawn only by doing vertical lines. That’s something I tried. An original idea of mine, which gives OK results,  and which has probably been done in the past…)

Believe it or not, but those 2 drawings were just trials at drawing folds on clothes. You can’t see very well on the left hand one, but I was quite happy with the result. The one on the right hand side is not proportional; the legs are far too short… But the folds on his T-shirt are not too bad...

I called this one lost angel. It is another “serious” drawing. It was made in 2002.. The demons are meant to get out of blood. I was meant to put colours on that one, but couldn’t decide what colours the demons should be, so I left it as it is.

Caricature of myself that I sent to Ron Thal (Bumblefoot) in 2002. He put it on his website, on the fanpage, along with his caricature (that I drew too). It was such a honour for me to have my drawings on his site...

This one’s called the boxer. For obvious reasons. Made in 2001.

This one is basically a comic strip project that I have. I have been obsessed with this little Japanese character for so long… That I decided to make a comic strip from it. I won’t reveal the story, you’ll have to buy it when I’ll release it (in 2073). For info, I haven’t started drawing it yet. Made in 2002.

This is a caricature of the man who introduced me to magic and also my friend, Alex.

This is I guess a draft of Krikitu. This is an early drawing, at the beginning of the obsession with this character. That was in 2001.

Another draft of Krikitu. This one actually gave me the idea of making a comic strip. Here he was called Master Gong.

A “serious” drawing. Sometimes I have “visions” of serious scenes. Take it as you want this has a meaning for me, but I think art has to be personal.

This is my first drawing in English. Made in 2001.

This one is an old drawing  (2000). It represent Jesus playing poker with the grim ripper.

This is a trial at crayons. It represents the good and evil in everybody.

This is an example of tiny drawings I do or used to do in the corner of books,  and stuff… That’s how I came up with my comic strip project...
